About Outlander and Edinburgh Walking Tour

Visit Outlander filming locations from season 3 (including for Carfax Close) as well as some of the palaces, pubs, jails and closes visited by Claire and Jamie in the books Dragonfly in Amber and Voyager. Just as importantly, though, this tour will explore the history behind the show and series of novels. Find out who the Jacobites were, how Highlanders lived and fought in battle, how Scotland’s capital was impacted by the Jacobite occupation of 1745, what it was actually like to live in eighteenth-century Edinburgh and hear the story of the legendary Clan Fraser.

Your tour will be led by an experienced guide with a PhD in eighteenth-century Scottish history.
